Our Accessibility Commitment

El Rio Western Wear is committed to making our website usable for everyone — including customers who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technologies. This statement explains what we've done, what's still in progress, and how to reach us if something doesn't work for you.

The Standard We Follow

We target conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG is the international standard used by governments, retailers, and accessibility advocates. Level AA covers color contrast, keyboard operability, screen reader compatibility, and accommodations for users with motion sensitivity.

What's in Place

As of the date below, the following accommodations are live on every page:

  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element when using the keyboard.
  • A 'Skip to main content' link that appears on first Tab so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
  • Reduced-motion support — if your device requests reduced motion, animations and transitions are disabled.
  • Bilingual content (English / Spanish) with the page's language declared to screen readers.
  • Form fields with programmatic labels, errors associated to their inputs, and status updates announced via live regions.

Known Limitations

We're transparent about what's still in progress. As of the date below, the following areas need work:

  • Spanish translations were assisted by automated translation and are pending a final native-speaker review.

Compatibility

We test in the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile. The site is built with semantic HTML5, ARIA where needed, and CSS. JavaScript is not required to browse the site or read content; it is required to add items to your cart and check out.
